These are samples with poor-quality blood spots caused by contamination from dirt, moisture, or improper handling.

✅ taken MORE THAN 24 HOURS after birth
✅ with COMPLETE and CORRECT details
✅ with blood spots that are ADEQUATE FOR TESTING
✅ with blood spots that are COMPLETELY DRIED
✅ with NO SERUM RINGS, RODENT OR INSECT BITES
✅ received in the NSC-CL not more than 14 DAYS after collection

📢 Reminder to all NBS Specimen Collectors

✔️ When filling out the NBS Filter Card, always write legibly in print using BLACK or BLUE ballpoint pen only.

✖️ Avoid using pencil, frixion pen, colored pens, gel pens, or sign pens, as these may be difficult to read and may be erased or smudged

🔠 Use BLOCK LETTERS, place a space (_) between words, and avoid erasures as much as possible.
