🏡 5 ABA Tips Parents Can Easily Use at Home:

1. Reward Good Behavior Right Away 🎉

✅ Catch your child being good—then praise them or give a small reward (like a sticker, favorite snack, or hug). Reinforcing immediately helps them connect the behavior to the reward.

2. Give Clear, Simple Instructions 🗣️

✅ Use short and specific directions like “Put your shoes on” instead of “Get ready.” One-step instructions are easier to follow, especially during busy routines.

3. Turn Daily Routines Into Learning Moments 🍽️🛁🧺

✅ Use mealtime to practice asking for food, bath time to label body parts, or laundry time to sort colors. Learning can happen naturally through fun, simple tasks.

4. Offer Limited Choices ✔️❌

✅ Let your child choose between 2 items (e.g., “Do you want apple or banana?”). This encourages communication while reducing meltdowns caused by too many options.

5. Stay Calm and Patient 🧘‍♀️

✅ Kids often feed off our energy. If you stay calm, it’s easier for them to stay calm too—even during tantrums or tough transitions.

🌈 We were honored to learn from a powerhouse of experts in ABA, developmental pediatrics, education, therapy, and local government — each one offering valuable insights on supporting children with autism and developmental needs. 🙌🏻

🌈 A special highlight for us was hearing from Ms. Gina Luna Bermudo, who has been our constant guide and inspiration throughout our ABA therapy journey. 🌟
