Amid recent calamities, particularly the flooding that affected several communities, the Rural Health Unit of Argao commemorated World AIDS Day today, December 1, 2025, through a symbolic tree planting activity, alongside HIV awareness, testing, and counseling.

This initiative not only reaffirmed our commitment to supporting individuals and families affected by HIV/AIDS but also served as a powerful reminder that no one walks this journey alone.

By planting hope and growing awareness, each tree symbolizes our fight against HIV and reflects our dedication to protecting and restoring the environment for stronger, more resilient communities.

This meaningful event was made possible by our community volunteers and partner stakeholders whose dedication and participation brought it to life.

Together, let us nurture the environment, raise HIV/AIDS awareness, and plant hope for a safer, stronger, and more compassionate Argao. 🌿❤️

In light of the recent devastation caused by Typhoon Tino and Typhoon Uwan, the Argao Rural Health Unit (RHU) join the entire nation in expressing solidarity with our fellow Filipinos, especially our fellow Cebuanos, who have been greatly affected.

As a public health institution, we recognize that this is a time not for celebration but for mutual support, compassion, and community recovery. In this spirit, Argao RHU is redirecting all year-end activities to initiatives that promote healing, unity, and shared responsibility rather than festivity.

✅The RHU extends its appreciation to local business in Argao that continue to stand tall in the midst of these challenges. In support of their recovery and continued operations, the RHU will begin facilitating Health Card processing for establishments with more than five (5) personnel starting November 19, 2025 every Tuesday to Friday 8am to 5pm at RHU 1 (except holidays).
Business owners and processors are highly encouraged to coordinate with the RHU Sanitary Inspectors for inquiries or scheduling assistance.

✅The Annual Christmas Party for BHWs and BNS will be transformed into Argao Health Summit, an occasion to recognize the barangays that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to public health, particular those that have maintained clean and healthy environments leading to decreased dengue cases. We will need all the cooperation of all barangays during this month’s assessment.

✅The World AIDS Day Commemoration will be marked through a Tree Planting Activity, symbolizing life, renewal, and hope as we nurture both our people and our planet toward recovery. Details will be posted soon for those who are interested to join.

Through these collective efforts, we hope to reaffirm that the true spirit of this season lies not in festivity but in solidarity, service and compassion. Together, we shall build a healthier, more resilient Argao - rising as one community, hand in hand towards recovery..

"True wellness never retires" 🧓👵

Today, the Argao Local Government Unit thru the Argao Rural Health Unit embark its first Purok Kalusugan for Senior Citizens in Barangay Poblacion at Sec. Cerge M. Remonde Sports and Cultural Center. This intiative aims to deliver basic healthcare services to each of the 45 barangays of our Municipality as well as facilitate Yakap Clinic Registration and assist seniors with Philhealth Enrollment and Updating.

The following were the services rendered during the activity:

✅️ First Patient Encounter
✅️ Pharmacy Services
✅️ Provision of Dental Kits
