I gained 3 kilos… and my 7-year-old saree became loose.”

Yesterday, I wore a saree I hadn’t touched in 7 years.

To my surprise, it was loose.
I even had to pin it up.

The ironic part?

Back then, I was 54 kg and jogging regularly.
Today, I’m 57 kg.

So what changed?

In the last 7 years, I stopped focusing only on weight.
I shifted my focus to being healthy, strong, and fit.

One of my clients was carrying deep guilt for choosing what she calls “the wrong partner.”
That one decision, in her mind, led to a unhappy marriage, loss of financial assets, and years of emotional pain.

Even after 18 years, the guilt was still alive.
It had started affecting her sleep, her weight, her hormones, and her self-esteem.

This is more common than we admit.
Many women silently punish themselves for their past choices especially in relationships.

She kept blaming herself:
“I wasn’t wise enough. I should have known better.”

Let’s understand this from a yogic lens.

In yoga, our choices are reflections of our inner state at that time.
We don’t choose randomly we choose based on what we know, what we feel, and the level of awareness we have then.

No one ever chooses thinking,
“I am going to make a wrong choice.”

Every choice feels right in that moment
based on love, hope, survival, conditioning, or unmet needs.

The outcome may be painful,
but that does not mean you were wrong.

Yoga teaches us this truth:

My Secret to Enjoy Every Food I Love… Without Gaining Weight 👀

Often my yoga clients ask me,
“What do you eat? How do you stay the same?”

Honestly, I don’t diet.
Dieting makes me angry and frustrated, and I’ve never done it to lose weight.

I often eat the same breakfast for months, the same dinner almost every night without getting bored.
It removes decision fatigue and trains your mind to stay steady.
Of course, I enjoy the foods I love when I dine out or on special occasions without guilt 😊

My formula is simple: exercise regularly and eat everything in moderation.
No magic. No shortcuts. No trends. Just consistency.

Simple is what you can sustain.
Sustainability is what brings results.

Sometimes we care so much about others that later we feel confused and guilty.
We start asking ourselves:
“Am I genuinely caring… or am I just people-pleasing?”

This happened to someone very close to me.
She is naturally loving, warm, and deeply caring. Giving comes easily to her it’s who she is.

But after one painful incident, someone made her believe that her caring nature was actually people-pleasing.

Slowly, she began to doubt herself.
She stopped reaching out.
She held back her love.
Bitterness started to grow because she felt misunderstood.
Her emotions shut down as a way to protect herself.

This is why it’s so important to understand the difference between caring and people-pleasing:

5 Clear Differences

1. Intention
Caring: I help because I want to, my heart feels open.
People-pleasing: I help because I’m afraid of disappointing or being rejected.

2. Choice
Caring: I choose to say yes or no without guilt.
People-pleasing: I say yes even when my body and heart say no.

3. Emotional After-Effect
Caring: I feel calm, fulfilled, or at peace after giving.
People-pleasing: I feel drained, resentful, or anxious after.

4. Boundaries
Caring: I can care and still protect my time, energy, and values.
People-pleasing: I ignore my boundaries to keep others happy.

5. Self-Worth
Caring: My worth doesn’t change whether others approve or not.
People-pleasing: My worth depends on how others respond to me.

Gentle reminder 💕
If you’re naturally caring, don’t let one painful experience convince you that your love is a flaw.
The goal is not to stop caring
it’s to care without abandoning yourself 💕
