I may not know your story, half-truth, half-meant, half-empty.

I may not reconcile your world from my own vantage point.

I may not measure your pain, betrayals, and frustrations.

But I will just be here, embracing you with warm tight hugs, showering you with unconditional positive regard, and loving you gently as you unfold into becoming a better version of yourself.

I know it is a struggle, and I know it is not easy, but be comforted that you are not alone. I am rooting for you!

Pakabakod lang!

Umiiyak, tumatawa, lumalaban. Embracing emotions even the most uncomfortable ones. Every advocacy talk is a safe space where participants openly share their emotions, and affirming them that it is but natural to sit with our emotions and learn to accept them.

When Mental Health discussion became a safe space to soloparents and midwives, real conversation happens.

Thank you Himamaylan Mayor Raymundo Tongson, Jr, DSSD Head Ms Igie Jiyeon Lee , Ms Bek-bek, and Ms CHO Nurse Virnie Lyn Bitco, RN.

Congratulations to the success of the 2-day Empowering Barangay Point Service Offices (BSPO) Through Capacity Building and Skills Enhancement in Managing Teeage Pregnancy at NaturesVillage, Talisay City on March 18-19, 2026.

Every story we heard carried a piece of someone’s truth, and every life we touched left a mark on ours. Through moments of listening, understanding, and empathy, we learned that psychology is not just about theories—it’s about people. This journey challenged you, changed you, and shaped you into more compassionate and mindful individuals. As you move forward, please carry these experiences with you, forever reminding you why you chose this path.

Congratulations UNORian interns for finishing strong! Your HPC family is proud of you!

When you have a child with no disabilities, you feel reasonably assured that class participation and decent study habits will result in good grades. These kids have close friends. They get invited to participate in social things like dances and weekend gatherings. They make the teams, auditioned organizations and clubs.

But when you have a child with certain differences, this is often not the case. Learning may take longer, both academically and socially. Despite their tremendous efforts, results are often a fraction of their peers and social acceptance is fleeting, setting them up for painful comparisons and bitter frustration. Instead of a fun and fulfilling experience, school can become a breeding ground for depression and anxiety, and assignments a battle ground at home. It is exhausting for parent and child alike.

This is the week of SPED (Special Education), Autism, Dyslexia, and ADHD (Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder) awareness.

For all the children who struggle every day to succeed in a world that does not recognize their gifts and talents, and for those who are walking beside them, please let this be a gentle reminder to be kind and accepting of ALL people.

Recognize that the "playing field" is not always a level surface.

Children who learn differently are not weird. They are merely gifted in ways that our society does not value enough. Yet they want what everyone else wants: To be accepted!!

❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍

If you choose, please copy and paste this in honor of all children who are deemed "different". Our world would be far less beautiful without them.

❤️🧡💛💚💙💜🤍

Therapy didn't make me meaner. It exposed my sins.
It revealed how I hurt others too.

Because true self-awareness means not seeing how the world hurt you and molded you but gaining an understanding of your thoughts and emotions to stop negative patterns. Therapy showed me how messed up I am. It showed me my flaws and how to accept them. How to change my irrational thoughts and behaviors.

And in the process, I am learning that everyone is just as messy. Perhaps in varying degrees but everyone carries some kind of hurt, shame, regret, and trauma. Therapy exposed how I could have also been complicit in contributing to other people's pain not because I am a bad person but I was acting out of a place with zero self-awareness because I hadn't recognized my own negativity yet.

I lost relationships because of my disorganized attachment. The desire to dive in and bring a relationship to a deeper level were lost because I was fickle toward the other person—a push and pull of wanting vulnerability but also fearing it.

I couldn't create new meaningful friendships because I was already overthinking every interaction, calculating every change in tone, and wondering if I had done anything that would make me unlikable.

I wouldn't have realized these things without therapy and forcing myself to take a long hard look in the mirror. So no. Therapy didn't make me meaner. Yes, it may be helping me be more direct, perhaps blunt at times. But it's also teaching me to be kind to myself and to others. To own up to my mistakes but not be bogged down by it. To give myself grace and others too. To walk away from things that don't give me peace but also have courage to open my heart to something new. -- Orchid.
