One of the most important things you can do to ensure we do not have another health care crisis is to give blood. Due to the outbreak of Coronavirus our Blood supply has been greatly affected. Patients in the hospital are the first ones to experience this effect. So we are asking you to please help by donating a small amount of your blood. Healthy, eligible donors are strongly encouraged to donate amidst rising coronavirus concern.
We understand why people may be hesitant to come out for a blood drive in this time of crisis but we want to reassure the public that blood donation is a safe process. We make sure that we apply strict sanitation and disinfection procedures for the safety of both donors and staff. According to reports Individuals are not at risk of contracting COVID-19 through the blood donation process or via a blood transfusion, since respiratory viruses are generally not known to be transmitted by donation or transfusion. Therefore it is safe to donate blood.
We would like to express our gratitude to our LGU/NGO partners in the Blood Program for the continuous support and participation on voluntary blood service. As blood donations are needed on a daily basis, we are extremely thankful to all our BLOOD DONORS for your regular blood donations.
The severe need for blood will continue today, tomorrow and the weeks and the months to come as we face this pandemic together. So please donate blood. You’ll be helping our community during this crisis and more importantly you will help save a life. We need you now, more than ever.
God bless us all.
