Horizon The official source of updates from Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital. Horizon.

Have you ever gone to the beach, stood still, and watched over the line where the sky and Earth seemed to meet? And as the sun sank beneath that line, have you wondered how far that horizon stretched…or wondered what lies beyond that boundary? A horizon is a boundary of what we can see—a range of what we know, perceive, or anticipate—but our hearts can set our vision where our eyes cannot see. The official publication of Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital heralds the age of pushing the boundaries of health service delivery as we cast our visions beyond what our eyes can see. And as we embark on the journey of discovering new territories, we break the limits of what we know, what we can accomplish, and what we can be.

IHOMS Enhances Network Capability Through HC3NE Training
By: Mr. John Michael Gabriel T. Zaragoza, IHOMS Head

The Integrated Hospital Operations and Management Section (IHOMS) continues to strengthen its technical capability as its staff successfully completed the HC3NE (H3C Certified Network Engineer) Training held on January 12–14, 2026, at the CLMMRH Compound. The three-day training formed part of IHOMS’ ongoing efforts to enhance hospital information systems and ensure the reliability of its ICT infrastructure.

The HC3NE training was designed to equip participants with essential knowledge and practical skills in enterprise networking, particularly in configuring, managing, and troubleshooting network systems using H3C technologies. Given the critical role of network connectivity in hospital operations, the program emphasized building a solid technical foundation that supports uninterrupted clinical, administrative, and operational services.

Throughout the training, participants engaged in both theoretical discussions and hands-on exercises covering network fundamentals, IP addressing, VLAN configuration, basic routing, and network security principles. The practical approach allowed IHOMS staff to relate the lessons directly to real-world hospital scenarios, improving their readiness to address network issues efficiently and effectively.

The successful completion of the training brings significant benefits to IHOMS and the hospital as a whole. With enhanced in-house expertise, the organization is better positioned to maintain stable and secure network operations, respond promptly to technical concerns, and reduce dependence on external support. These improvements directly contribute to better system uptime and more reliable delivery of health information services.

Capping the training, two IHOMS staff members, Mr. Ian Jan Bantiling and Mr. Emmanuel Diaz, earned official HC3NE certification from H3C, recognizing their competence and dedication to professional growth. Their achievement represents a milestone for IHOMS and reinforces its commitment to continuous learning, capacity-building, and excellence in hospital information and communications technology.
