Blindness Prevention Program unlocked! 👁️

After many consultations—from optometrist, to ophthalmologist, and back again—today we finally see the fruit of our eye screening efforts: From school health assessment that brings hope and clearer vision to our children.

Through the unwavering commitment of the Municipal Health Office, headed by Dr. Teresa M. Reponte, this program stands as a true testament to service with a heart.

To all parents: if you notice even the slightest problem with your child’s eyesight, never hesitate to consult a doctor. Early detection saves sight because prevention is always better than cure. 🤍👁️

The Municipal Health Office of LGU-Bacolod, under the supportive and compassionate leadership of Dr. Teresa M. Reponte, continues to uphold its unwavering commitment to the health and overall wellness of our community.

Through the Blindness Prevention Program, we were once again reminded of the true meaning and purpose of public service. During our school health assessment, we identified a student in need of visual care. We are hopeful that through further consultation in Iligan City, clear eyesight will soon be restored bringing not only improved vision, but renewed confidence, hope, and greater opportunities for learning.

Moments like these affirm that health programs go far beyond numbers, statistics, and reports. They touch lives in quiet yet deeply meaningful ways. The hope of seeing a child regain the ability to read comfortably, learn effectively, and dream freely is a powerful reminder of why we continue to serve with dedication and compassion.

It is both an honor and a privilege for the Municipal Health Office to extend help to those who need it most. We remain steadfast in our commitment to serve with heart, integrity, and purpose—because every individual deserves the chance to see the world clearly and live a healthier, better life.

RHU Bacolod: Charting Our Course for 2026!

We successfully concluded our 4th Quarter Staff Meeting today, led by the dedicated supervision of Dr. Teresa M. Reponte!

This crucial meeting served as a platform for strategic planning and collaboration, ensuring the continuous improvement of our health services. A major highlight was the detailed presentation of the 2026 Annual Program Plans Proposals by our esteemed Public Health Nurses (PHNs). We are excited to implement these programs aimed at further strengthening public health in our city!

In our commitment to equip our Barangay Health Stations (BHS) with the necessary tools, we are pleased to announce the provision of new pulse oximeters and sphygmomanometers for each BHS. This equipment will greatly enhance their capacity for patient assessment and monitoring at the community level.

Let's continue to work together for a healthier Bacolod!
