The BGHMC Psychology Section welcomed Ms. F***g Izvestia Lasly O. Tan, the newly installed psychologist of Luis Hora Memorial Regional Hospital, for a one-day benchmarking activity held on February 2, 2026.

The visit served as a valuable opportunity for professional exchange, collaboration, and sharing of best practices in the delivery of psychological and mental health services within hospital settings. Discussions focused on service delivery models, assessment and intervention processes, documentation, and ways to further strengthen client-centered psychological care.

We are especially happy to see mental health services becoming more accessible to our communities through the expansion of psychology services in regional hospitals. 💙

It’s a great time to upskill and grow in the field of clinical psychology, and we sincerely appreciate the interest and inquiries we’ve been receiving.

To ensure ethical, safe, and effective training, please take note of the following training policies:

• A 𝐌𝐞𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐀𝐠𝐫𝐞𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 (𝐌𝐎𝐀) is required between institutions. We accommodate official institutional representatives only (individual applications are not accepted).

• All applicants will undergo a screening process to confirm they are medically and psychologically fit for a clinical setting. This includes a 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐬𝐲𝐜𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐥 𝐚𝐬𝐬𝐞𝐬𝐬𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭, which may be administered within or outside BGHMC.

• A 𝐦𝐚𝐱𝐢𝐦𝐮𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐭𝐡𝐫𝐞𝐞 (𝟑) 𝐢𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐬 will be selected per training period, with each period lasting for at least 𝟏𝟓𝟎 𝐡𝐨𝐮𝐫𝐬.

• 𝐓𝐫𝐚𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐟𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 are indicated in the post. These fees cover professional supervision, training materials, administrative processing, and the use of hospital facilities, and therefore cannot be waived.

The Psychology Section, in partnership with the Public Health Unit, Human Resource Management Office, and the Mental Health in the Workplace TWG, successfully conducted the final session of “𝑴𝒐𝒓𝒆 𝑻𝒉𝒂𝒏 𝑺𝒖𝒓𝒗𝒊𝒗𝒆: 𝑨 𝑷𝒔𝒚𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒍𝒐𝒈𝒊𝒄𝒂𝒍 𝑾𝒆𝒍𝒍𝒃𝒆𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑳𝒆𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈 𝑺𝒆𝒓𝒊𝒆𝒔” on 𝐷𝑒𝑐𝑒𝑚𝑏𝑒𝑟 3, 2025, at the 5𝑡ℎ 𝐹𝑙𝑜𝑜𝑟 𝑃𝑠𝑦𝑐ℎ𝑖𝑎𝑡𝑟𝑦 𝑊𝑒𝑙𝑙𝑛𝑒𝑠𝑠 𝐶𝑒𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟.

Psychiatry Residents showcased their dance moves in one of the wellness tasks under the Amazing Wellness Race: The Mindful Movement Station.

The station is designed to show that fitness comes in various forms. From traditional physical exercise to the latest Tiktok dance trends, there is something for everyone to enjoy and explore.

Last October 29, residents of the Psychiatry Department traded their white coats for wellness kits at the Palm Grove Hot Spring and Mountain Resort, Tuba, Benguet.

Facilitated by psychologists Angelica Nichole Marco and Maribel Tico, this year’s residents’ day is a spin-off of the popular game, Amazing Race, except that the activity focused on embracing each moment, fostering self-care, and supporting one another, instead on speed and victory.

The Residents’ Day is an annual event under the Psychiatry Residency Training Program.
