What is moxibustion?
Moxibustion is a form of therapy that entails the burning of mugwort leaves. This is a small, spongy herb that is believed to enhance healing with acupuncture. As such, the leaves are burnt close to the skin’s surface using a stick to apply heat.‌

The practice is derived from Chinese medicine. Its purpose is to strengthen the blood, stimulate the flow of Qi or energy, and maintain good health. ‌

According to Chinese medicine, an increase in the circulation of Qi can help your body deal with a broad range of issues, including digestive problems and chronic pain.

SERVICES INCLUDED:
1. Pinewood bonfire heat therapy (shangshang)
2. Moxibustion Therapy (mugworth herb therapy)
3. Wet Cupping Therapy
4. Acupuncture Therapy
5. Snacks and meals with native and indigenous root crops, lemon grass tea or mint tea.

SECOND STAGE: SHANGSHANG (firewood) Therapy:

SERVICE INCLUSIONS:

1. At least 15 minutes of sitting by a bonfire and watching the flames can be a calming experience. Research suggests that the sight and sounds of a fire can cause a significant drop in blood pressure. It will also help the nerves relax.

2. At least 30 minutes of traditional hilot. (Touch is the modality of “hilot.” Initially, one might think it is simply a massage, but “hilot” is more. It is energy manipulation. While many popular massages had predetermined sequences of strokes,”hilot” manipulates the electrical charges of the body that creates a biochemical reaction where it is needed.)

3. Kulkulis foot massage with the use of specially made wood.

4. Snacks and meal having camote, sayote, lemon grass tea, kamoteng kahoy, taro.

Hope this will be done soon. Pinas lang bawal eh lahat naman sa karatig bansa, makakapulot and bili kahit sa daanan. Coz in fairness it is the safest plant and can be used from medicine to food supplement, to textiles and even construction materials. Production is very cheap coz it is a very low maintenance plant. Just throw the seeds and it will thrive on its own and can be harvested when ready.
