09 June 2020 Tuesday 10 AM - 12 NN
Resource Speaker: Dr. Julian R. Montano III, RPsy, RGC
PGCA Board Member
Description:
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, many of us counselors and the other mental health professionals have found ourselves unable to provide face-to-face counseling to our clients. And as the lockdown prolonged, we’ve seen more and more of our students, counselees, clients, etc. reaching out for help. Sadly so, we already know that after a disaster, the need for emotional support spikes up significantly. Yet, we continue to be unable to offer our services on ground. As a result, we have had and will need to shift in giving our support using the telephone and/or internet. In this webinar, I will present and discuss how we can transfer our counseling services to an online setting. Guided by our ethical responsibilities related to online counseling, I will present some tips and guidelines on how we can continue to provide counseling via tele and web.
