Don’t turn a blind eye to obvious signs of abuse against others, especially women and children. The longer you wait to act, the higher the chances that it may be too late.

‼️Be careful with medicines and vaccines sold online or by unauthorized facilities‼️

Due to the increase in counterfeit medicines and other medical products being sold in the market, the DOH reminds people to be careful and not buy if:

❌There is an error in the label or spelling and the packaging looks different
❌The FDA batch/lot number, manufacturing and expiration date are missing
❌The medicine appears different in terms of look, smell, or taste
❌It is ineffective
❌The seller or the facility is not licensed to sell such medicines

Report any suspicious medicines or vaccines to the FDA immediately: ereport@fda.gov.ph or (02) 8809-5596.

Aside from counterfeit medicines, also watch out for falsified vaccines! Earlier this year, fake rabies vaccines were reported in certain parts of the region. Make sure you are getting your shots from trusted health facilities.

Violence against women and children is also a health issue.

November 25 is the National Consciousness Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women and Children, which also kicks off the 18-Day Campaign to End Violence Against Women.

To be able to end the violence, we must break the silence.
