โ€œWhen they had gone, an angel of the Lord appeared to Joseph in a dream. โ€˜Get up,โ€™ he said. โ€˜Take the child and his mother and escape to Egypt. Stay there until I tell you, for Herod is going to search for the child to kill him.โ€ โ€” Matthew 2: 13-15, 19-23

Todayโ€™s Sunday gospel tells the story of an angel, appointed by the Lord, to tell Joseph to escape to Egypt with his family, as Herod intends to kill the child.
We are told that God has plans for us amidst the pain and suffering we endure. But, Heโ€™s always present to guide us to safety and heal us.โค๏ธโ€๐Ÿฉน

This December, letโ€™s open our hearts and minds to God, and ask for His guidance so that we may live a fruitful, productive life.๐Ÿคฒ

โ€œAnd she shall bring forth a son: and thou shalt call his name Jesus. For he shall save his people from their sins.โ€

In Matthew 1:18-24, it tells the story of Josephโ€™s selfless devotion to his wife, the Virgin Mary, who gave birth to Jesus Christ through the Holy Spirit, and Joseph accepting that Jesus is his Son. Furthermore, the lesson teaches us that we should remain faithful to God, fulfill His promises, and to be obedient to Him.

Let us all pray to Him for guidance and wisdom so He may guide us to the right path and become His followers.
