BALANGA, Bataan — Sa gitna ng mainit na hapon at sa isang maliit na espasyo sa tapat ng Campus Student Government - Balanga Campus (CSG-BC) Office, nagtipon ang mga student leader para sa ikalawang araw ng Bahagi Leadership Camp Training na pinamunuan ng Kabataan Volunteer Corps (KVC) sa Bataan Peninsula State University–Balanga Campus (BPSU-BC) noong Marso 7, 2026.

Isa sa naging tampok na sesyon ang World Café, kung saan nagsagawa ang bawat grupo ng Root Cause Analysis at Action Plan upang talakayin ang mga karanasan at hamong kinakaharap ng mga estudyante sa paaralan. Isa sa mga temang umusbong mula sa talakayan ay ang pangangailangan para sa patuloy na pagpapabuti ng mga pasilidad.

Ginanap ang diskusyon sa isang simpleng espasyo, na nagsilbing paalala ng kahalagahan ng pagkakaroon ng mas maayos at sapat na pasilidad sa loob ng unibersidad. Sa kabila nito, naging masigla ang palitan ng ideya at mungkahi mula sa mga kalahok.

“Nasanay na tayo sa sistema,” ani Sean Francis Edu, isa sa mga kalahok, na nagbigay-diin sa pangangailangang patuloy na maging mapanuri at aktibo ang mga estudyante sa pagbibigay ng suhestiyon para sa ikauunlad ng kampus.

Hindi lamang mga silid-aralan at kagamitan ang napag-usapan. Nabanggit din ang kalagayan ng mga palikuran, kung saan ibinahagi ng isang kalahok na “maraming mag-aaral ngunit hindi sapat ang mga gumaganang palikuran.” Bilang tugon, iminungkahi ni Andrey De Villa ang mas pinalakas na koordinasyon sa pagitan ng mga kolehiyo upang masiguro ang regular na pangangalaga at kalinisan ng mga pasilidad.

Para sa maraming estudyante, ang pagpapabuti ng pasilidad ay mahalagang bahagi ng pagpapayabong ng kanilang karanasan sa pag-aaral. Sa pamamagitan ng sapat at maayos na espasyo at kagamitan, mas nabibigyang-daan ang mas epektibong pagkatuto at paglinang ng kanilang kakayahan.

Sa kabuuan, naging makabuluhang bahagi ng Leadership Camp ang pagbibigay ng boses sa mga estudyante—hindi lamang upang tukuyin ang mga hamon, kundi upang maglatag din ng mga konkretong hakbang tungo sa mas inklusibo at maunlad na kapaligirang pang-edukasyon.

𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝟏: 𝐋𝐄𝐀𝐃𝐄𝐑𝐒𝐇𝐈𝐏 𝐁𝐀𝐇𝐀𝐆𝐈 𝐂𝐀𝐌𝐏 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟔 🧩💙💛

Day 1 of the BAHAGI Leadership Camp, themed KaBAHAGI, laid the foundation for a transformative leadership journey by grounding participants in the core principles of leadership, ethics, governance, and well-being. The day began with the Opening and Participant Onboarding, where student leaders were formally welcomed, oriented on the program, and engaged in interactive icebreakers that fostered connection and camaraderie. Participants were grouped into teams composed of members from various student organizations and governments, establishing collaboration for the succeeding activities and challenges.

A series of insightful sessions followed, led by esteemed speakers from different fields. The first session, Understanding the Structure of Student Government in BPSU, was delivered by Prof. Lawrence D. Balana, MSPsy, providing participants with a clear overview of organizational structures, roles, and responsibilities within student governance. This was followed by The Role of Student Leadership in Student Development by Ma’am Shekinah Reyes, RGC, which emphasized self-awareness, personal growth, and the impact of leadership on individual and collective development.

The discussion continued with The Role of Student Leadership in Student Rights and Welfare, presented by Director Arlene “Diosa” I. Pascual, MPA, highlighting the importance of ethical leadership, accountability, and advocacy in protecting student rights. Participants were then guided by Atty. Ada Victoria Angeles, JD, MBA in The Role of Student Leaders in Inclusive and Equitable Campus Spaces, focusing on inclusive leadership and the importance of equitable participation for all students.

To conclude the learning sessions, The Role of Student Leadership in Nation-building was delivered by Sir Kyle Louie A. Soldevilla, RPm, encouraging participants to analyze national and social issues and inspiring them to create impactful, youth-led initiatives aligned with real societal needs.

The day concluded with a Reflection Sharing and Socialization Night, where participants engaged in meaningful conversations and introspection, allowing them to connect their learnings with their personal leadership journeys. Overall, Day 1 set a strong and purposeful beginning—shaping not only informed student leaders but also empowered individuals ready to serve and make a difference. ✨
