Kung Ikaw ay S*xually Active, mas mabuting ikaw mag-PrEP upang magkaroon ng up to 99% protection laban sa HIV kung inumin Ng Tama.

The Philippines is currently grappling with a severe public health issue — a staggering 500% rise in HIV cases among young Filipinos, particularly among men who have s*x with men (MSM). According to the Department of Health (DOH), HIV infections in the country have risen dramatically, especially among individuals aged 15 to 24. MSM make up the overwhelming majority—almost 90%—of these new cases. This spike is prompting calls for the declaration of a national public health emergency.

DOH: GAWING NATIONAL PUBLIC HEALTH EMERGENCY ANG HIV

Iminungkahi ng Department of Health (DOH) na gawing national public health emergency ang HIV.

Ayon kay Health Sec. Teodoro Herbosa, 500% increase ng HIV cases sa edad 15-25. Dagdag niya, sa datos ng ahensya, ang Pilipinas ang may pinakamataas na bilang ng bagong kaso ng HIV sa Western Pacific Region.

Payo ni Herbosa, regular na magpa-HIV test, gawin ang Combination Prevention Method, gumamit ng condom, lubricants, at PrEP at ugaliin ang pagkonsulta at pag-inom ng Antiretroviral therapy para sa mga kailangan nito.

HIV can be passed from one person to another during vaginal, a**l, or oral s*x if no protection is used. This is one of the most common methods of transmission worldwide.

The risk increases with multiple s*xual partners or if either partner has a s*xually transmitted infection (STI).

Using condoms correctly every time you have s*x and knowing both your and your partner's HIV status greatly reduces the risk.

Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis is a daily medication taken by HIV-negative individuals to prevent HIV infection. It’s a powerful tool in HIV prevention that reduces the risk of getting HIV from s*x by about 99% when taken consistently. For people who inject drugs, it reduces the risk by at least 74%.

Alam mo ba na Ang HIV ay Hindi nakukuha sa:
1. Swimming Pool
2. Kagat ng Lamok
3. Toilet Bowl
4. Pakikipaghalikan
5. Kubyertos
6. Pag-ubo

Kaya huwag mang-discriminate at pangdirihan ang mga taong may HIV, dahil may damdamin din sila. Hindi sila nakakahawa, liban na lamang kung makipagtalik ng walang condom (orally, Vaginally, and a**lly). O di kayay gumamit ng karayom o syringe na gamit na at kontmainado ng HIV.
