A productive discussion among health personnel, DMO IV Ma’am Kristine Solas, and SB on Health Eden Dequilla was held to review ongoing programs, proposed equipment under the HFEP, and relevant ordinances. The meeting also covered the creation of the BHW RAC, concerns regarding TB medications, and the conduct of a food safety orientation.

𝐀𝐧𝐨 𝐧𝐠𝐚 𝐛𝐚 𝐚𝐧𝐠 𝐅𝐢𝐫𝐬𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐄𝐧𝐜𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫?
Ang First Patient Encounter (FPE) ay ang unang pormal na health assessment ng isang miyembro sa kanyang napiling health provider o YAKAP CLINIC.

Narito ang mga pangunahing layunin at kaganapan sa prosesong ito:

1. 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗽𝗮𝗽𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗿𝗼 𝗮𝘁 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴
Dito kinukuha ang kumpletong health profile ng pasyente. Hindi lang ito basta check-up; ito ay ang sistematikong pag-record ng iyong medical history, kasalukuyang kondisyon, at mga lifestyle habits (gaya ng paninigarilyo o diet).

𝟮. 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗣𝗵𝘆𝘀𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗘𝘅𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻
Isinasagawa ang mga basic na pagsusuri gaya ng:
✅Pagsukat ng timbang at taas (BMI).
✅Blood pressure monitoring.
✅Visual inspection at iba pang physical exams upang malaman ang "baseline" o normal na lagay ng iyong katawan.

𝟯. 𝗣𝗮𝗴-𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗳𝘆 𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗸𝘀
Sa unang pagkikita, tutukuyin ng iyong health care provider kung ikaw ay "at risk" sa mga sakit gaya ng 𝙙𝙞𝙖𝙗𝙚𝙩𝙚𝙨, 𝙝𝙮𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙩𝙚𝙣𝙨𝙞𝙤𝙣, 𝙤 𝙘𝙖𝙣𝙘𝙚𝙧. Ito ang basehan kung anong mga laboratory tests (na libre sa ilalim ng Konsulta package) ang kailangang ipagawa sa iyo.

𝟰. 𝗣𝗮𝗴𝗯𝘂𝗼 𝗻𝗴 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻
Pagkatapos ng encounter, magkakaroon ka ng record sa clinic. Dito itatakda kung kailan ang iyong susunod na follow-up at kung anong mga gamot o maintenance ang posibleng i-reseta sa iyo nang libre o may discount.

𝗕𝗮𝗸𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗮𝗴𝗮?
Ang FPE ang nagsisilbing "𝙜𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙥𝙖𝙨𝙨" para ma-avail mo ang iba pang benepisyo ng 𝙋𝙝𝙞𝙡𝙃𝙚𝙖𝙡𝙩𝙝 𝙆𝙤𝙣𝙨𝙪𝙡𝙩𝙖.
Kung walang record ng unang encounter, maaaring hindi maproseso ang mga libreng laboratoryo at gamot sa mga susunod na bisita.

A successful 𝑩𝒂𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒈𝒂𝒚 𝑨𝒓𝒂𝒏𝒋𝒖𝒆𝒛 𝑯𝒆𝒂𝒍𝒕𝒉 𝑫𝒂𝒚 was conducted, filled with service, care, and unity for our community.

Through the dedicated efforts of the Balasan Primary Care Facility, essential health services were made more accessible—promoting better health awareness and overall wellness for all.

Our heartfelt appreciation goes to the Barangay Officials and Appointees, the Barangay Health Workers (BHWs), the Barangay Nutrition Scholars (BNS), the DOH-deployed Nutritionist Dietitian, and our partner organization (PTSI) whose commitment and support made this activity possible.
