According to the World Health Organization, cardiovascular diseases remain the leading cause of death globally, responsible for about 17.9 million deaths (32%) each year. The Philippine Statistics Authority(PSA) reported that ischemic heart disease was the top cause of death in 2025, with 40,532 cases (20%) nationwide.
The good news: most heart diseases are preventable through a healthy lifestyle. This Philippine Heart Month, rememberโit's never too late to start making choices for a healthier, stronger heart. โค๏ธ
