Northside Doctors Hospital proudly took part in the โWalk With A Docโ activity in observance of World AIDS Day on December 1, 2025. This worldwide commemoration serves as an important reminder of our collective responsibility to promote awareness, strengthen prevention, and support individuals and communities affected by HIV and AIDS.
This yearโs theme, โAwareness In Every Step,โ highlights the vital role of education, active engagement, and solidarity in addressing the persistent challenges brought by HIV and AIDS. Through this initiative, Northside Doctors Hospital continues its commitment to fostering a well-informed and health-conscious community.
The event program included a series of meaningful activities designed to encourage reflection, dialogue, and learning:
โข Overview of the LIFE Project for HIV, highlighting community-based support and intervention strategies
โข Lecture on the impact of HIV and AIDS in the Ilocos Region, emphasizing local trends and public health concerns
โข Lecture on HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP), promoting awareness of available preventive options
โข Candle Lighting Ceremony honoring individuals lost to HIV and AIDS and showing solidarity with those living with the condition
โข HIV Awareness Walk from the Vigan Conservation Complex to Plaza Burgos, symbolizing unity and shared commitment to prevention and education
