A courtesy call was held with Hon. Mayor Mark Christian โMarkeeโ R. Chua last January 30, 2026 marking a significant milestone in strengthening academeโlocal government partnership ๐คโจ
The meeting was led by the Department Chair Dr. Lerma Fe F. Taylan and Chair of the Community Education Program, Dr. Mayla Veronica C. Madrigal, together with the Class Officers and Representatives of Batch Nasirib ๐ฉโโ๏ธ๐
The exchange during the courtesy visit was both purposeful and inspiring. The Community Medicine Program was thoughtfully presented, outlining its goals, implementation plans, and the envisioned role of the LGU in supporting community immersion and service. In response, the City Mayor warmly welcomed the initiative, expressed his confidence in the students and faculty, and assured the City Governmentโs full support for the programโs successful rollout ๐๏ธ๐ฑ
The visit concluded with a meaningful exchange of tokens, where the Mayor gifted the students a crocheted Empanada, a culturally significant delicacy proudly associated with the City of Batac. The gesture added a warm and memorable touch to the engagement ๐งกโจ
