1 in 3 adults experience joint pain or musculoskeletal disorders — but many of these can be prevented. Our bones and joints carry us through life—let’s give them the care they deserve!
- Stay active with low-impact exercises
- Eat calcium- and vitamin D-rich foods
- Maintain a healthy weight
- Don’t ignore joint pain

Whether you're managing arthritis, recovering from an injury, or simply aiming for lifelong mobility, this week serves as a reminder: strong bones and flexible joints are essential to a vibrant life.

October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Every story is unique. Every journey matters.

This month, we honor the courage of every person affected by breast cancer: the fighters, the survivors, the caregivers, and those we've lost. Each journey is different, but every story deserves to be heard, supported, and remembered.

Early detection saves lives. Know the signs, get screened, and stand in solidarity.

Let’s stand together in hope, action, and compassion.

September 28 is World Rabies Day 2025
Theme: Act Now: You, Me, Community

Rabies is 100% preventable—but still deadly. This year’s theme calls on all of us to take action:
• You – Vaccinate pets, learn prevention, advocate
• Me – Lead by example, train others, support campaigns
• Community – Organize drives, educate families, push for stronger programs

Let’s protect lives through awareness, responsible pet care, and timely treatment. Every 9 minutes, rabies claims a life—but together, we can end it.

Today, we celebrate the vital link between a healthy environment and a healthy population!

Environmental health professionals work tirelessly to ensure clean air, safe water, and sustainable communities. This year’s theme, “Clean air, healthy people”, reminds us that the air we breathe directly impacts our health and well-being.

Air pollution contributes to respiratory diseases, heart conditions, and even cancer. By advocating for cleaner energy, greener spaces, and responsible waste management, we protect both our planet and our people.

Let’s support policies and practices that protect our planet and promote public health. Because when the environment thrives, so do we.

Let’s raise our voices for thyroid health!

Thyroid cancer is the 7th most common cancer in the Philippines and affects more women—especially those of reproductive age. Early detection is key, yet symptoms like neck swelling, voice changes, and difficulty swallowing often go unnoticed.

This week, let’s spread awareness, encourage self-checks, and support those affected. Together, we can make a difference.

Every child deserves a safe beginning. Today, we join the global movement to raise awareness about the importance of patient safety—starting from birth.

Each year, over 830,000 newborns and 2.4 million stillbirths occur worldwide. Many of these tragedies are preventable with safer care, better communication, and stronger systems.

This year’s campaign reminds us:
• Safety isn’t just a medical goal—it’s a human right
• Families are partners in care, not just recipients
• Healthcare workers, parents, policymakers, and advocates all play a role

What YOU can do:
• Ask questions about your child’s care
• Support safe birth practices and timely treatment
• Share this message to help protect every child’s future

Let’s work together to ensure that every newborn and every child receives the safe, respectful care they deserve—from the very start.

September is Blood Cancer Awareness Month!

Let’s turn the world red to spotlight one of the most overlooked yet devastating groups of cancers—leukemia, lymphoma, and myeloma. This global campaign runs from September 1–30 and aims to raise awareness, promote early diagnosis, support patients and caregivers, and drive research for better treatments.

Blood cancers are often invisible—no lumps, no scans, just subtle symptoms like fatigue, night sweats, or unexplained bruising. That’s why awareness matters. Each year, there are millions affected globally.

This month, join survivors, advocates, and healthcare professionals in sharing stories, and wearing red. Whether you're hosting a fundraiser or simply learning the signs—your voice matters.
