It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of our beloved colleague, Ms. Lorenza Asuncion Malabed, a dedicated Medical Technologist whose kindness and generosity touched so many hearts within Gaoat Hospital.

Lorenza was more than a coworker—she was family. She was known for her warm spirit, humble heart, and compassion. One of the many ways she showed her generosity was by sharing her HEIA benefits with fellow staff who did not receive any. Her quiet acts of kindness reflected the true essence of service and love for others.

Her legacy of selflessness will forever remain in the halls of Gaoat Hospital and in the lives of those she helped, supported, and inspired.

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Virginia Manarpiis Gaoat, affectionately known as Mommy Gie, co-founder and longtime administrator of Gaoat Hospital, who peacefully joined her Creator and the love of her life, Dr.Policarpo Gaoat Sr., on September 23, 2025.

From April 1974 until 2016, Mommy Gie faithfully served as the hospital’s administrator.
Earlier in life, she also embraced her calling as a school teacher, all while lovingly raising her children and grandchildren.
Her devotion to family, education, and the community remains an enduring inspiration.

Details of the wake and memorial services will be shared as plans are finalized.
