Successful Celebration of WORLD AIDS DAY at the Municipality of Batad. Our gratitude towards our supportive Mayor, Hon. Elvira P. Alarcon, Vice Mayor Hon. Steven Michael Andrada, RN. And Municipal Health Officer, Dr. Maria Rhesyl B. dela Rosa.

The said activity was well participated by our Focal person from Batad National High School and Valerio Palmares National High School, and Municipal Employees.
Thankyou to Sir Stephen Baul-LGBTQ+ President in this municipality, for his participation.
Also, we have the group of participants from the SK headed by Hon. Jeava Fe Arisme, whose willingness is appreciated, they will be having activities on their respective barangays advocating HIV/AIDS soon. Brgy. Caw-i had already conducted an activity this year. We will be conducting a ๐๐‹๐Ž๐Ž๐ƒ ๐‹๐„๐“๐“๐ˆ๐๐† ๐€๐‚๐“๐ˆ๐•๐ˆ๐“๐˜ on October 29, 2025 (Wednesday), starting at 7:00 AM onwards, at the Batad Municipal Gymnasium.

This is in partnership with the Philippine National Red Cross.

Interested blood donors are encouraged to take note of the following reminders before donating blood:
1. Get enough rest and sleep;
2. Avoid alcohol or any medication 24 hours before donating;
3. Eat a healthy meal (avoid fatty food);
4. Drink plenty of fluids (water or juice); and
5. Bring a valid government-issued ID.

Your simple act of donating blood can save lives!

Magpahinga sa Bahay, Trangkaso Bye-Bye!
Kumain ng Prutas at Gulay, Trangkaso Bye-Bye!โ€”ito ang mensahe ng DOH sa kampanya nitong โ€œTrangkaso Bye-Byeโ€ na inilunsad bilang bahagi ng tamang edukasyon sa pag-iwas sa trangkaso o flu.

Nauna nang inihayag ng DOH na bagamat walang outbreak, nasa flu-season pa rin ang bansa mula sa panahon ng tag-ulan nitong Hunyo hanggang sa kasalukuyang pagpapalit ng monsoon season papuntang Amihan.

Batay sa latest surveillance ng DOH, nakapagtala ng 6,457 kaso ng Influenza-Like Illness (ILI) mula Setyembre 28 hanggang Oktubre 11, 2025, na 25% mas mababa kumpara sa 8,628 kaso sa kaparehong panahon noong 2024.

Ang ILI ay isang matinding impeksyon sa paghinga na dulot ng mga virus tulad ng Influenza A at B, Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), at Rhinovirus.

Sentro sa kampanyang Trankaso Bye-Bye! ang mga simpleng gawain para makaiwas sa pagkakasakit.

๐‰๐”๐’๐“ ๐ˆ๐: The Municipality of Batad, under the leadership of Mayor Elvira P. Alarcon and Vice Mayor Steven Michael Y. Andrada, proudly received multiple prestigious awards during the 2025 Western Visayas Harmonized Health Excellence Awards held on October 3, 2025 at Diversion 21 Hotel, Mandurriao, Iloilo City.

Mayor Elvira P. Alarcon and Municipal Health Officer Dr. Ma. Rhesyl Dela Rosa personally accepted the awards and recognitions on behalf of the municipality.

Among the awards and recognitions received were:
- Outstanding Ally for Health Equity Award for exemplary efforts in promoting inclusive and equitable healthcare services conferred by the Department of Health;
- Plaque of Recognition for successfully meeting Level II Adolescent Friendly Health Facilities National Standards awarded by the Department of Health Western Visayas Center for Health Development;
- Good Practice in Health 2025 Award;
- Certificate of Recognition for the Happy MOM Voucher Program; and
- Plaque of Recognition for consistently performing the Healthy Hearts Technical Package and achieving 51.43% service coverage, 0% defaulter, and 99.7% blood pressure control rate for CY 2024.

These awards and recognitions stand as a testament to the municipalityโ€™s unwavering commitment to health equity, innovation, and excellence in service delivery.

Look|| The Primary Care health workers deliver services to the islet barangay aligned with the Celebration of Rabies Awareness Month.

Isla Magalumbi- was visited again by the nurses and midwives and the Purokalusogan team: Bringing healthcare one-step closer to the community.
IMCI, Family Planning, monitoring of malnourished children, giving of deworming and vitamin A, PhilPEN risk Assessment, advocacy on rabies, BP monitoring and giving of HPN and DM maintenance to enrolled patient on healthy hearts program and PhilHealth Profiling.

In photos also were the Municipal Agriculture staff giving Dog and Cat Vaccination with the advocacy and updates on the status of rabies free islet barangay of Tanao.
