The Municipality of Batad, its Municipal Agriculture Office and the Municipal Health Office together conducted an awareness campaign to the learners of Batad Central School from Grade IV to Grade VI with the presence of their advisers, spearheaded by Maโ€™am Lea H. Yap, Batad CES Principal.

Ang huling linggo ng Pebrero ay ginugunita bilang Leprosy Control Week, isang mahalagang panahon upang bigyang-diin ang katotohanan tungkol sa ketong. Paalalahanan natin ang bawat isa na ito ay sakit na may lunas, kaya piliin natin ang pag-unawa kaysa panghuhusga. Sa pamamagitan ng wastong impormasyon at maagang pagpapatingin, naiiwasan ang mga komplikasyon at mas napapangalagaan ang kalusugan ng bawat isa.

Ipakita natin na ang komunidad ay lugar ng malasakit, paggalang, at pagtanggap, hindi ng diskriminasyon. Upang mapanatili ang kalusugan, mahalagang kumonsulta agad sa pinakamalapit na health center kung may nararamdamang sintomas.
