October is AAC Awareness Month!

This year’s theme from ISAAC (2025) is “Innovation, Inclusion, and Advocacy in AAC.” The theme invites us to apply these three words in the field of AAC.

Innovation – creating new and meaningful ways to support communication.
Inclusion – ensuring equal access and opportunities for all voices.
Advocacy – standing up for communication rights and awareness.

Let’s celebrate the many ways people communicate and keep building a world where every voice counts.

All this talk about SENSORY play… but why? 🤔 Sensory experiences help children make sense of the world. Through touching, pouring, mixing, and exploring, kids strengthen fine motor skills, develop problem-solving abilities, and build early literacy and math foundations. They’re also learning to focus, communicate, and experiment, all while having FUN.

Kami po mula sa Section of Development and Behavioral Pediatrics ng National Children’s Hospital ay nag-aanyaya sa mga magulang at tagapag-alaga ng mga batang may Autism Spectrum Disorder na dumalo sa isang libreng workshop na may pamagat na:

“Mga Gabay at Tagubilin: A Training Workshop for Parents and Families of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder”

Congratulations to Teacher Josh for completing the Bobath Pediatric Introductory Course. 🎉

The course was held at Hong's Children Center for Cerebral Palsy on September 12 - 16, 2025, and attended by occupational therapists and physical therapists from all over the Philippines and abroad.
