At the BatMC Balaraw H-Hub Reverse Pitch Workshop, clinicians took the mic—sharing real, on-the-ground healthcare challenges and inviting innovators to co-create solutions. Less slides, more conversations. Less theory, more “how do we actually make this work?”

BSU TNEU engineers and tech experts jumped in with insights and practical ideas, bringing new perspective to the pitches.

We are proud to announce the successful inauguration and blessing of the Balaraw Health Innovation Hub held last September 10,2025 at Room 13 of the Old Dormitory Complex in Batangas Medical Center.

This new hub is envisioned to be a space where ideas meet action — fostering health research, collaboration, and innovation to create solutions that improve patient care and community well-being.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to our hospital leaders, Dra. Torio, Dra. Villanueva, Dr. Cabungcal, Dr. Atienza and Dr. Zantua, our partners from DOST-PCHRD and Batangas State University TNEU, and all our guests and staff who joined us in this meaningful event.

Together, let us continue to make BatMC not just a center of healing, but also a center of health innovation for Batangueños and the region!

Batangas State University, The National Engineering University warmly welcomes the Batangas Medical Center’s Balaraw Health Innovation Hub through an exploratory partnership meeting between the two institutions.

Anchored on the Health Research and Technology Innovation Hub (HeaRTNovation Hub) initiative of the DOST–Philippine Council for Health Research and Development (DOST-PCHRD), the Balaraw H Hub is envisioned to support pre-commercialization activities in health innovation—integrating research, business development, and incubation.

The meeting facilitated knowledge exchange among BatStateU’s Research Management Services Office, Research Office, Knowledge and Technology Transfer Management Unit, Center for Technopreneurship and Innovation, Biomedical Engineering Program, and College of Medicine, alongside BatMC’s Balaraw H Hub. Discussions focused on collaborative efforts for research proposal ideation, validation, intellectual property protection, and commercialization.

Together, the institutions are committed to advancing research-driven, community-centered healthcare innovations for the region and beyond.
