The BATO Rural Health Unit - Catanduanes headed by our Municipal Heath Officer Dr. Reah Lovella V. Toledana, MD with HRH/NWSS under the Department Of Health proudly supported a Mental Health Awareness initiative in collaboration with Bicol Center for Community Development, Inc.

Conducted across five barangays in Bato, this initiative reflects our continued commitment to promoting a healthier, more informed, and resilient community.

This activity aimed to strengthen community understanding on Mental Health and Psychosocial Support (MHPSS), empowering women to care for their well-being and build resilience.

Together, we continue to promote a healthier, more informed community.

The mindfulness activity for our senior high students was effectively facilitated by our Master of Ceremony Mrs. Genevive Tayamora Taway-Ros , guiding them through moments of reflection, breathing, and self-awareness.
Through this session, students were encouraged to pause, refocus, and prioritize their mental well-being.

The BATO Rural Health Unit - Catanduanes , in collaboration with Bote Integrated School and the Bato Municipal Health Office with HRH/NHWSS under the Department of Health, successfully conducted a Mental Health Awareness Activity for Senior High School students. The activity aimed to promote mental well-being, raise awareness, and encourage help-seeking behavior among the youth.

The team is truly honored to have Dr. Rucelle Copian Zuniega, PRC Board-Certified Physician, Diplomate of the Specialty Board of the Philippine Psychiatry, and Fellow of the Philippine Psychiatric Association, as the Resource Speaker, who shared valuable expertise on mental health, coping strategies, and the importance of early intervention and support systems.

The program also included interactive activities designed to engage students, encourage participation, and provide a safe space for expressing thoughts and emotions.
