JKQ Medical and Wellness Center, Inc. Celebrates Nurses Week 2025!

A week-long celebration honoring the heart of healthcare, our dedicated nurses! This year’s Nurses Week was filled with learning, fun, and appreciation through inspiring talks, exciting competitions, community service, relaxation activities, and a glamorous Gala Night.

The celebration began with a colorful parade and the launch of the Daisy Awards, followed by inspiring messages and talks about compassion, excellence, and resilience in nursing. It continued with friendly competitions like Esports and Quiz Bee, highlighting teamwork and unity among our nurses.

On the third day, our team visited Brgy. Tambac to share joy and donations with seniors and daycare students. The fourth day focused on relaxation, where our nurses enjoyed soothing music, refreshments, and wellness activities, a well-deserved break for their hard work.

The week ended with a Thanksgiving Mass and a special Gala Night featuring performances, recognitions, and the 3rd Quarter Nursing Awards, celebrating our nurses’ dedication and service.

This celebration is JKQ Medical and Wellness Center’s way of showing love and gratitude to all our nurses for their compassion, hard work, and commitment. It reminds everyone that behind every healing story is a nurse who truly cares.

To all our nurses, thank you for your kindness and dedication. You continue to inspire us every day.

A Historic Milestone for Our Nursing Team

Through the Health Carousel Foundation, in partnership with the DAISY Foundation, we proudly celebrate a historic moment as our hospital becomes the first in Pangasinan to bring to our nurses the prestigious international recognition known as The DAISY Award for Extraordinary Nurses.

This milestone is more than a celebration of nursing excellence—it is a testament to our unwavering commitment to quality care, compassion, and service in healthcare.

This achievement would not have been possible without the vision and leadership of our Chief Nursing Officer, Dr. Eljohn P. Zulueta, whose dedication paved the way for this meaningful partnership. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Dr. Dave C. Gamboa, Medical Director; Atty. Arnel C. Glorioso, Hospital Administrator; and most especially to Dr. Estrella Quiambao-Glorioso, President and CEO, for their steadfast support in making this endeavor a reality.

The DAISY Award, which stands for “Diseases Attacking the Immune System,” is an internationally acclaimed program that honors nurses who go above and beyond in providing compassionate, skillful, and extraordinary patient care. It was inspired by the family of Patrick Barnes, who experienced firsthand the profound impact of nursing compassion during a challenging health journey.

Today, the DAISY program—supported globally by organizations such as the Health Carousel Foundation—has become a symbol of gratitude and excellence, embraced by thousands of hospitals, schools, and healthcare institutions across more than 30 countries.

Julius K. Quiambao Medical and Wellness Center, Inc. (JKQMWC) proudly formalizes its partnership with Señor Sto. Niño Hospital, Inc., under the Unified Hospital Partnership Program (UHPP) through a Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) Signing Ceremony held on October 8, 2025.

The ceremony was graced by representatives from both institutions. Señor Sto. Niño Hospital, Inc., was represented by Dr. Charisse T. Alvarez, Assistant Administrator, Ms. Nanet D. Collado, Chief Nurse and Mr. Jonathan Acob, Branch Manager of Nuestro Señor Sto. Niño Hospital, Inc., Bayambang. JKQMWC, on the other hand, was represented by Dr. Estrella Q. Glorioso, President and CEO, Atty. Arnel C. Glorioso, Hospital Administrator and together with the administrative and operational departments of the institution.

The UHPP is an initiative of JKQMWC aimed at building a unified network of hospitals and healthcare institutions to promote collaboration, resource sharing, and coordinated patient care. Through this program, partner hospitals can benefit from streamlined medical referrals, shared access to healthcare services, and joint initiatives that enhance patient experience and service efficiency.

Following the signing ceremony, a hospital tour was conducted to showcase JKQMWC’s state-of-the-art facilities, services and departments, further emphasizing the institution’s dedication to excellence and continuous improvement in healthcare delivery.

This collaboration marks another milestone in our shared commitment to expanding access to quality, patient-centered healthcare and strengthening partnerships across the healthcare community.

In line with our commitment to promoting health awareness and education, Julius K. Quiambao Medical and Wellness Center, Inc., held a Breast Cancer Awareness Forum last October 3, 2025.

The forum was led by Dr. Jaarmy F. Rebugio, who shared valuable information about breast cancer symptoms, early detection, and prevention. The event was attended by Barangay Health Workers (BHWs) from different barangays of Bayambang, JKQ nurses, and patients, who actively participated by asking questions and engaging in meaningful discussisions.

Inspiring breast cancer survivors also shared their personal stories of strength, courage, and hope, reminding everyone that early detection truly saves lives. Their journeys served as powerful reminders that with faith, support, proper care and recovery is possible and life after cancer can be full of purpose and positivity.

At JKQ Medical and Wellness Center, Inc., we continue to support this advocacy by offering quality care and guidance through our doctors and staff. We are dedicated to helping in the early detection, check-up and treatment of breast cancer to save lives and give hope to every patient.

This service reflects our commitment to accessible healthcare by making hospital trips more convenient and supportive for patients and watchers.

We encourage everyone to take note of the schedule and be at the designated pick-up points at least 10 minutes before departure time. Boarding will be on a first come, first served basis due to limited seating capacity.
