As a heartwarming gesture this holiday season, the Marian Emergency Response Team (MERT), together with the SMU NSTP, brought smiles to the children of Bansing Elementary School with its Pamaskong Handog outreach program. The event featured gift-giving for the students, fun-filled games with prizes, and grocery packs for parents, and on-site medical assistance, as parents took the opportunity to have their blood pressure checked.

Organized as part of the organizationโ€™s commitment to social responsibility and community engagement, the outreach seeks to bring joy to families during the holidays while encouraging the values of generosity and empathy among the community.

The Marian Emergency Response Team (MERT) actively participated in the 97th Foundation Day celebration of Saint Mary's University on December 8, 2025, marking nearly a century of excellence, service, and commitment to holistic education. Alongside the vibrant ground demonstrations by the Junior High School, Senior High School, and College departments, MERT provided medical assistance to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants throughout the event.

The celebration honored the institutionโ€™s long-standing legacy while fostering unity and camaraderie among students, faculty, alumni, and partner organizations. As the festivities continued in the afternoon with Laro ng Lahi, MERT's on-site medical support helped maintain a safe and secure environment, allowing the school community to fully enjoy the activities while promoting Filipino culture, teamwork, and inclusivity.

The Marian Emergency Response Team (MERT) joined the TAKBOKASYON 2025 on November 26, 2025, supporting the eventโ€™s mission by providing on-site medical assistance. They aimed to ensure the safety and well-being of all participants, deploying teams, setting up first-aid stations, and offering immediate care throughout the run.

Throughout the event, MERT played an important role in ensuring the safety of the participants. Teams were stationed at key points along the route, and are ready to respond to injuries, dehydration, or any medical emergencies. First-aid kits and hydration stations were also set up to provide immediate care and comfort to participants.

With their support, the TAKBOKASYON 2025 concluded successfully, showcasing MERT's commitment to promoting safety and preparedness.

Once again, the MERT trainees pushed through another tiring yet fulfilling day of training. In the morning, they faced the flames head-on during firefighting drillsโ€”learning how to control, contain, and put out fire scenarios with teamwork and confidence.

By the afternoon, they shifted to medical response. The trainees learned how to apply the KED and perform BLS with AED, then tested everything they learned in a field training exerciseโ€”lifting, stabilizing, assessing, and responding like real rescuers.
