Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center Successfully Concludes ACLS Training Course
The Far North Luzon General Hospital and Training Center (FNLGHTC) successfully concluded two batches of the Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Training held on December 2–3, 2025, at Apayao State University.
The program was facilitated by American Heart Association (AHA)–Certified ACLS Instructors from the Region II Trauma and Medical Center (R2TMC), ensuring that all participants received high-quality, evidence-based instruction grounded in the latest international resuscitation guidelines.
Medical and nursing staff from FNLGHTC actively engaged in the two-day course, which featured a combination of comprehensive lectures, hands-on skills stations, and scenario-based simulations. Training sessions covered essential components of cardiovascular emergency management, including early recognition of cardiac arrest, delivery of high-quality CPR, advanced airway skills, cardiac rhythm identification, timely defibrillation, and effective teamwork during resuscitation efforts.
Participants were given the opportunity to enhance both their individual clinical competencies and their ability to function cohesively as part of a coordinated code team an essential factor in improving patient outcomes during life-threatening emergencies.
The successful completion of the ACLS Training reflects the continuing commitment and collaborative efforts of R2TMC and FNLGHTC to strengthen cardiovascular emergency care capacity. With the newly trained staff equipped with advanced life-saving skills, the hospital remains steadfast in its mission to deliver safe, timely, and quality healthcare services to the communities it serves.
