2 High Risk pregnancies & a Gyne Case in 1 day ✅️

Despite both having GDM (diabetic)-Insulin Requiring & one of them just delivered less than a year ago via CS 🙈 under my service, we were able to pull through unremarkable deliveries and healthy babies! Pauwi na po sila today. ☺️

It's vital to perform Unang Yakap whatever the mode of delivery even with Co-morbidities. Here are the benefits:

For the Baby:
1. Immediate skin-to-skin contact helps the newborn regulate their body temperature.
2. Improves breathing
3. Boosts immunity: It helps transfer antibodies through early breastfeeding.
4. Lowers the risk of LOW blood sugar especially to babies born from GDM mom

For the Mom:
1. Promotes emotional bonding: Uninterrupted skin-to-skin contact strengthens the bond between Mom & baby
2. Helps establish successful breastfeeding

Applause for this first time Mom who braved to deliver via NSD at 40weeks without epidural anesthesia--Just a few IV pain relievers 😉
I felt guilty leaving her when she's 38 weeks preggy to attend our Annual Convention & flew abroad for a hospital visit but im grateful that very cooperative sila ni baby at hinintay ako 🥹

Congratulations Sarmiento Family! Salamat po sa paghintay. She's due for an Elective Repeat CS on Thursday but we found out na konti nlng ang water ni baby! So right away direcho ng hospital from a 19-hour flight. Thank u Lord for a healthy Mom & baby, salamat din po for a safe flight back home🙏
