MPOX Awareness ⚠️⚠️⚠️

Understanding Transmission, Symptoms, and Prevention

MPOX (formerly as Monkeypox) is a contagious viral illness that can be transmitted through close contact with infected individuals, contaminated surfaces, respiratory droplets, and direct contact with infected animals.

Symptoms :
▪️ Fever
▪️Sore throat
▪️ Muscle and back pain
▪️ Headache
▪️ Rashes, which often appear 1-4 days after the fever starts. The rash can appear on the face, inside the mouth, and on other parts of the body like the hands, feet, chest, ge****ls, or a**s. The rash typically progresses through stages from flat lesions to raised bumps, then fluid-filled blisters, which eventually scab over and heal.

Prevention :
▪️Cover your mouth when coughing or sneezing
▪️Ensure good airflow
▪️Wash your hand regularly or use alcohol or hand sanitizer
▪️Avoid contact with people who have MPOX even those who are only showing symptoms of the illness.
