Why do some people throw these words to someone who's genuinely in need of help? Why do some people choose to humiliate instead of comforting them and asking them if they're okay? Don't they have any conscience at all? It doesn't hurt to be kind to others. Please watch what you're saying because you might hurt someone with those harsh words of yours.

A lot of people, mostly teenagers, are currently entertaining negative thoughts and emotions. And these people could possibly be someone we already knew. Someone dear to us. It could be our friends, family, classmates, or the strangers that we walked past in the street. We will never know who's having a hard time for we rarely ask them if they are feeling okay.

Yes, they're smiling, they're laughing, they're dancing, and they're singing their favorite song. But what if they are just pretending? What if they actually want to cry everytime they smile and laugh? What if they actually want to scream their lungs out everytime they dance and sing? We don't know because what we all see everyday is just a mask. A mask to hide their true feelings. A mask to hide their darkness from the blinding light of the people’s judgements. A mask to hide what they think is shameful.

They shouldn't feel this way. They shouldn't think that others see their feelings as invalid and that they are just being dramatic. We should make them feel that it is okay to be not okay. We should make them feel that they could cry if they want to. They should know that their feelings are valid and that we are willing to listen to all their worries and be there for them. Be their light when they are lost in the dark. Be their lifeguard to save them from drowning in their thoughts. Be their teddy bear for them to feel comfort. Be their shoulder to lean and cry on.

Let us share love, positivity and kindness. In doing this, we can save someone from leaving this beautiful world. We can give them a chance to live their life with happiness in their heart.
