Breastfeeding Made Easier: Simple Steps for a Comfortable, Deep Latch 🤱💛

A good latch can make all the difference in your breastfeeding journey—more comfort for you, better milk transfer for baby, and a more peaceful feeding experience. These gentle steps can help you guide your newborn into a deep, effective latch:

1️⃣ Skin-to-Skin: Spend a few minutes holding your baby close before feeding. It calms them, boosts bonding, and helps trigger their natural feeding instincts.
2️⃣ Tummy-to-Tummy: Turn your baby so their whole body faces you. This alignment supports a deeper, more comfortable latch.
3️⃣ Nose-to-Nipple: Position your baby’s nose in line with the ni**le—this encourages them to tilt their head back and open wide.
4️⃣ Wait for the Gape: Look for that big, wide-open mouth (about 140°). A wide gape helps your baby take in more of the ar**la, not just the ni**le.
5️⃣ Latch: Bring your baby to the breast (not the other way around). Aim for their lower jaw to touch first, helping them latch deeply.
6️⃣ Check the Signs: A good latch usually looks off-center, with more of the lower ar**la inside the baby's mouth. Feeding should feel comfortable—not painful.
