“Big Vision for Little Feet.”
The recent PODS workshop held in Cebu Doctors’ University Hospital (CDUH), in collaboration with the CDUH Department of Pediatrics and Philippine Pediatric Society Central Visayas Chapter (PPSCVC), empowered pediatricians with skills to detect early signs and symptoms of vision problems in kids because early detection can change a child’s future.
Through engaging, hands-on training, pediatricians learned how to perform basic vision screening right in their clinics, making eye care more accessible than ever before.
And this is just the beginning.
Dr. Emmalyn Reveldez, President of the PPSCVC, is bringing this impactful program to Dumaguete City, reaching even more pediatricians and, ultimately, more children in need.
This initiative highlights a powerful message: when pediatricians and optometrists work together, early detection becomes possible, timely treatment becomes accessible, and children are given the gift of clear vision.
Together, we’re building a future where no child’s vision is left behind. 👀
We thank the workshop facilitators Dr. Ritchie Suba-an, Dr. Felina Alix, Dr. Sherylle Anne Chua, Dr. Febrianne Diaz, Dr. Jason Ortiz, Dr. Christine Fernandez, Dr. Rosalinda Bono and speakers Dr. Carmen Dichoso, Dr. Rheza Tabasuares, and Dr. Douren Espina for sharing their time and expertise. 🙏🏻
