๐๏ธ National Cancer Awareness Month reminds us that early detection saves lives. Cancer is a disease where abnormal cells grow uncontrollably and may spread to other parts of the body.
Be aware of the warning signs: changes in bowel or bladder habits, sores that do not heal, unusual bleeding, lumps or thickening, indigestion or difficulty swallowing, noticeable changes in moles, and persistent cough or hoarseness.
You can lower your risk by avoiding smoking, eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, limiting alcohol intake, getting vaccinated (HPV and Hepatitis ๐, and having regular screening tests.
