This is called 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘁-𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗴𝗼 or 𝗘𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗵𝗾𝘂𝗮𝗸𝗲 𝗗𝗶𝘇𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀, a common and temporary condition that happens when your brain, eyes, and inner ear struggle to re-sync after repeated tremors.

𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝑰𝒕 𝑯𝒂𝒑𝒑𝒆𝒏𝒔:
• The inner ear (which controls balance) keeps sending “motion” signals even after the quake.
• Your eyes see still surroundings — creating a “sensory mismatch.”
• Stress and anxiety trigger hyperventilation, making you feel lightheaded or unsteady.

𝑪𝒐𝒎𝒎𝒐𝒏 𝑺𝒚𝒎𝒑𝒕𝒐𝒎𝒔:
• Swaying or spinning sensation
• Lightheadedness or imbalance
• “Phantom” shaking even when still
• Palpitations or shortness of breath

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒀𝒐𝒖 𝑪𝒂𝒏 𝑫𝒐:
• Sit or lie down until the dizziness passes
• Focus your eyes on a fixed point
• Practice slow breathing — inhale 4s, hold 4s, exhale 6s
• Rest, stay hydrated, and take it easy for a few days
• If dizziness lasts longer than two weeks or comes with hearing loss, see your doctor

When the ground shakes, panic is natural. but calm thinking can save lives. During an earthquake, many experience rapid heartbeat, dizziness, or shortness of breath: signs of panic and hyperventilation.

Here’s what to do:
✅ Stop and breathe slowly: inhale 4 seconds, hold 2, exhale 6.
✅ Ground yourself: touch something stable.
✅ Stay low, stay safe, and reassure others.

Remember: Panic is normal, but calm saves lives.
Slow breathing = steady thinking. 💙

🚨 MGA DAPAT GAWIN PAGKATAPOS NG LINDOL 🚨

Pagkatapos ng magnitude 6.9 na lindol sa Cebu kagabi, nakapagtala ang PHIVOLCS ng daan-daang aftershock na umabot hanggang 4.8 magnitude. Karamihan sa mga ito ay mahina, ngunit maaari pa ring magdulot ng dagdag na pinsala lalo na sa mga istrukturang humina.

Paalala ng DOH: Maging maingat mula sa aftershocks dulot ng lindol.

🩹 Gamitin ang first aid kit kapag may sugat sa katawan
🏚️ Suriin ang bahay at gamit sa anumang sira, bitak o tagas
⛰️ Iwasan ang mga sirang gusali, nakalaylay na linya ng kuryente, lupang maaaring gumuho at dalampasigan
