COLLEGE LIFE.....COLLEGE LOVE......ROAD TO FOREVER

Daddy jec and mommy Joyce' love story blossomed during college days. I was then their professor. Destiny brougnt them to raise 4 beautiful and talented girls which I was priviledged to attend all via normal delivery. Now, it's another opportunity to manage second of their 4 kids on her menstrual disorder.

PROBLEMA SA MYOMA

May incidental finding sa whole abdomen ultrasound na 4x3 at 2.3 x 1.9 cm uteine myoma si patient JG, 49 years old, may tatlong anak from Dipaculao Aurora kaya nairefer sa akin noong June 2025. Hatol-obserbasyon at follow up after 6 months kung walang sintomas ng abnormal na pagdurugo o pagkasira ng siklo ng regla at iba pang posibleng maramdaman. November 19, 2025 nagbalik sa clinic si patient matapos maconfine at masalinan ng apat na bag ng dugo sa Baler, Aurora. Humaba at lumakas ang pagdurugo nya na sukat ikababa ng hemoglobin nya sa level na "anemia very severe". Sa puntong ito ay agad ko siyang isinailalim sa HYSTERECTOMY matapos ang masusing medical risk assessment sa iba pa nyang health issues na diabetes at hypertension. Successful ang team namin sa operasyon at hindi na kami nagsalin pa ng anomang blood products.
Hindi lahat ng myoma ay nauuwi sa operasyon. Madaming konsiderasyon ang pinag aaralan at inilalapat sa kaso ng bawat pasyente.
Ang peligrosong kalagayan ni patient JG dahil sa labis at patuloy na pagdurugo, edad palapit na sa menopause, may kumpletong dami ng anak, paglaki ng sukat ng myoma at lokasyon nito sa loob ng matres nya (FIGO 2) ang mga pangunahing dahilan kung bakit nauwi sa operasyon ang kanyang sitwasyon.
Madami pang senyales ang posibleng ipakita ng myoma. Komonsulta!

NEVER GIVE UP!

She was a student in 2007 when I first managed her with the then diagnosis of DUB (now replaced by AUB- abnormal uterine bleeding).
Fourteen years later in 2021 at 34 years old, already married but was unable to conceive, I labelled her having Bilateral 5.5 x 6cm Endometrioma with Adenomyosis. Dysmenorrhea was real. Gave her 6 cycles of GnRH. Cyclic pain improved and reduced both ovarian size into half. She was groomed for IVF (in vitro fertilization) by a Reproductive medicine expert in the locality because natural means seemed slim. Infertility management pursued in the distant province by another expert. Faith, prayers, perseverance, consistency, support from channels of blessings made everything possible.
Now at 38 years old, she consulted back, pregnant in her last trimester and ready to be a mom before 2025 ends.
Happy to see you again AFL. Your story is inspirational. Indeed, we are serving an amazing God.
