It was June 23, 2017, just two days before my very first Europe trip, when I received the biopsy result that changed my life — I had breast cancer. My first instinct was to cancel the trip, but somehow I felt that maybe this journey would give me the space to breathe, to think, and to gather strength.
During that trip, we visited the Church of Our Lady Victorious in Prague, the home of the miraculous Infant Jesus of Prague. There, in the quiet of that sacred chapel, I cried silently and begged the Lord for help, healing, and hope.
Today — eight years later — after surviving all the treatments and storms that came with the diagnosis, I stand once again in this very chapel. But this time, with a grateful and victorious heart.
All glory, honor, and praise to You, O Lord!
You carried me, healed me, strengthened me, and brought me back here — not in fear, but in thanksgiving.
