Borja General Hospital is a Level II hospital with a 250-bed capacity serving the people of Cagayan de Oro City and its neighboring cities in Northern Mindanao. The 100- bed JRBGH established in 1963 is the only local government hospital in Cagayan de Oro City catering to an estimated 687,427 population with the vision that “By the year 2016 JR Borja General Hospital shall be the nation’s premier local government hospital with fiscal autonomy and preferential option for the poor and the underprivileged.”

To date, the city hospital has achieved an unprecedented success as a health care provider that were evident in their service deliveries - a success story worth replicating in all government run hospitals.
