A meaningful and inspiring session titled “BUILDING AN INCLUSIVE WORKPLACE: Understanding the Needs of Elderly and PWD Colleagues” was held at Department of Science and Technology - Philippine Council for Industry, Energy and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD), Acacia Hotel in Muntinlupa City on December 19, 2025.

Led by Dr. Mary May Malabanan-Fernando, the session shared valuable insights on fostering empathy, accessibility, and respect in the workplace. It was further enhanced by an engaging interactive workshop facilitated by Sir Lanz, Ms. Apple, Ms. Irene, and Ms. Karen, highlighting the importance of inclusive policies, psychological safety, and supportive environments that empower elderly employees and persons with disabilities (PWDs).

Guided mindfulness activities added depth to the experience, promoting awareness, connection, and well-being. More than just a seminar, the initiative marked a meaningful step toward building workplaces where everyone feels genuinely seen, heard, and valued.

We proudly recognize the participants of the Social Skills Program (2nd Batch) for completing the intervention, an evidence-informed, group-based experience designed to support social, emotional, and personal growth.

Over 12 weeks, participants engaged in guided discussions, role-playing, and real-life simulations to build confidence, strengthen communication, improve emotional regulation, and foster meaningful connections.

This program provides a safe and supportive space for teens and adults to develop the skills needed to navigate real-world social situations with confidence.
