Started with My Passion for Creating eBooks That Turned Into a Physical Book

What started as a simple passion — to create my own book — has now become a beautiful reality under EyeFix Learning. 📖

For years, I’ve been creating e-books and saving them on my laptop, each one filled with lessons, research, and insights from my heart. When I began learning about media buying, I needed a business project to apply my skills… and I chose one of my e-books.

I never expected that this project would spark something bigger. Soon after, colleagues and parents began reaching out, asking if they could have a physical copy of the book. That moment reminded me: when your purpose aligns with your passion, God will open doors you never imagined. 🙏

And today, I’m beyond grateful to finally hold my own printed book— a work dedicated to educating parents on the importance of screen-free play for their babies.

This book doesn’t just focus on healthy vision development — it embraces the whole well-being of every child, guiding families toward mindful screen habits, early visual awareness, and holistic growth.

To every parent, colleague, and supporter who believed in this mission — thank you. You are part of this movement to transform lives through vision and learning. 💙

Together, we are shaping brighter futures — one page, one child, one vision at a time. 👁️

Differential Diagnoses of Diplopia Complaints
Accurate assessment is essential, as this finding can signal anything from benign to serious pathology.

Keep in mind that a complaint of double vision does not always mean true binocular diplopia. Determining whether the patient is experiencing monocular vs. binocular diplopia is the first necessary step in the process. While binocular diplopia is concerning for a neurologic process, monocular diplopia more likely indicates an issue with ocular media or refractive status.

In this CE article, 12 experts weigh in on the differential diagnosis, clinical evaluation, management strategies and urgency considerations associated with diplopia presentations: https://www.revieweducationgroup.com/ce/differential-diagnoses-of-diplopia-complaints

"Executive Function: The Control Center"
The SECRET to Your Child's Future Success? It's Not What You Think. 🧠

Every parent wants their child to succeed, but we often miss the most crucial skill they need: Executive Function (EF)!

Forget just focusing on ABCs and 123s. EF is the "control center" of your child's brain, responsible for: ✅ Focus & Attention ✅ Self-Control & Impulse Management ✅ Planning & Problem Solving ✅ Emotional Regulation

Think of it: these are the skills that help them manage homework, make good friends, handle big feelings, and navigate life's challenges. And the best part? YOU can build it!

My new book, Tiny Architects, gives you the science-backed blueprint and simple, playful activities to strengthen your child's EF from ages 0-6. Stop hoping for success, start building it.

👶 “Zoning Out Might Not Be Normal”

You’ve probably seen it — your baby staring blankly into space, not reacting when you call their name, or losing focus during playtime.
Many parents think, “Oh, maybe they’re just tired… or shy… or in their own world.”
But sometimes, that quiet pause isn’t just personality — it’s a sign that their eyes and brain aren’t working together as they should.

🧠 Babies don’t just “see” — they learn how to see.
Every blink, every moment they track your face or a toy, builds the brain’s visual connections that shape focus, learning, and attention later on.

If those connections don’t develop properly, it can lead to:
❌ Difficulty with focus and attention
❌ Learning challenges later in school
❌ Delayed motor or social skills

💡 The good news?
Early detection and screen-free visual play can help strengthen your baby’s visual brain — before problems show up.

📘 Protect Your Baby’s Sight is here to help you understand the early signs, what’s normal, and when to seek help.
Now open for pre-orders — because awareness today means clarity for life.

The "Behavior Whisper" Challenge

STOP SAYING "NO." START BUILDING FOCUS. 🧠

You're a great parent. You cuddle, you teach, you love. But when your little one melts down over a broken cracker or *refuses* to put on their shoes... you feel like you’re failing.

What if I told you it’s NOT a discipline problem? It’s a development problem.

That constant struggle with listening, following directions, or managing those huge feelings isn't defiance—it's a sign that their Executive Function (the brain's "Control Center") is still under construction. And you're the architect!

THE REAL PROBLEM

If you're tired of:
❌ Endless power struggles over simple routines.
❌ Hearing "NO" 50 times before breakfast.
❌ Trying every *trick* only to have the tantrum return.
..Then you don't need *more* rules; you need a stronger brain foundation.

THE SURPRISING SOLUTION

I'm Dr. Cali Perez, and I’m launching my second e-book:
TINY ARCHITECTS: Building Your Baby's Brain for Focus, Control, and Lifelong Success (Ages 0-6)!

This book is the blueprint for parents who want to move past chaos and start intentionally building the skills that lead to calm, focused, and resilient kids.

WHAT YOU'LL GET

In this book, you'll learn simple, 5-minute play activities that:
✨ Build Executive Function: Giving them the self-control to pause and think.
✨ Boost EQ: Nurturing the emotional awareness to handle frustration.
✨ End the Power Struggle: Turning "must-do" routines into brain-building games.

This isn't about punishment. This is about POWERFUL PLAY.

“Tiny Delays, Big Clues”

👀 Not all delays are “just normal.”
Some babies who seem to “zone out,” struggle with eye contact, or have trouble following toys may actually be showing early vision development signs.

It’s not about intelligence — it’s about how their brain and eyes connect.
The earlier we catch it, the stronger their future focus, learning, and confidence become.

This October, Protect What Truly Matters — Your Baby’s Sight

👁️ As we enter the season of cozy days and early Christmas prep… here’s something every parent should see before the year ends.

October is more than just pumpkin spice, sweaters, and family photos — it’s also Eye Health Awareness Month.

And while most parents think eye checkups start at school age… the truth is, your baby’s vision starts developing from day one.
In fact, 80% of visual development happens before age 1.

Every giggle, every peekaboo, every moment of screen-free play — it all shapes how your child learns, focuses, and sees the world.

So before the holiday rush takes over, take a moment to invest in what matters most — your baby’s healthy eyes and bright future.

💡 This October, choose awareness over convenience:

📱 Swap the screen for a storybook.
👩‍👧 Swap the tablet for your touch.
🧸 Swap the noise for nurturing play.

Every small choice protects your baby’s vision — and builds memories that no gadget can replace.

📖 Inside Protect Your Baby’s Sight you’ll learn:

✅ The green and red flags in early vision development
✅ How to stimulate your baby’s eyes naturally (no screens!)
✅ When and how to schedule your baby’s first eye exam
✅ Doctor-approved, screen-free play ideas for busy parents

Your baby only gets one first year.
You only get one chance to protect their sight.
