In April 2023, an expatriate living in Subic, Zambales visited Mindoro on vacation. He was involved in a highway accident and was brought to a local health facility. First aid was rendered. The patient was still well and speaking. The rescue vehicle was immediately redirected to a trauma hospital. When the rescue vehicle arrived at the hospital, the patient was DOA. Despite efforts to resuscitate him, the patient did not revive, and his wife and kids were bereaved from his loss.
