Dr. Candace London - General and Laparoscopic Surgery will be forever grateful to have been accepted into an advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery observership in Mumbai, India, under the mentorship of Professor Roy Patankar, together with his fellow laparoscopic and robotic surgeons Dr. Prasad Bhukebag and Dr. Vishakha Kalikar.

Truly, Indian surgeons and colleagues are not guarded with their knowledge and openly share their expertise. They share generously and passionately with younger colleagues, as we witnessed in the way they teach their residents, junior consultants, and international observers like us.

Thank you for your time, effort, and generosity in teaching us and for allowing us to scrub in on one of your cases. Even though we did not get an intraoperative photo as a souvenir, the experience itself is something we will always carry with us as we bring all these knowledge and new sets of skills in my country, Philippines. 🇮🇳🇵🇭
