LOOK: On January 16, 2026, the 𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐆 Satellite Dental Clinic successfully held its 45th Community Outreach Dental Mission at Our Lady of Lujan Parish, Bagong Barrio, Caloocan City.

Guided by Dr. Edbert Solano, the event was made possible through the efforts of the 𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐆 officers and over 11 dedicated student volunteers. Together, the team provided tooth extractions and oral prophylaxis to 10 patients, helping them achieve healthier smiles and renewed confidence.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the people of Caloocan for their trust, and to the passionate volunteers and the Our Lady of Lujan Parish community for their steadfast support in making this mission a success.

✨🤝 A day of Commitment, Celebration, and Togetherness 🤝✨

KATUWANG proudly welcomed its new set of officers through a meaningful 𝙄𝙣𝙙𝙪𝙘𝙩𝙞𝙤𝙣 𝙤𝙛 𝙣𝙚𝙬 𝙤𝙛𝙛𝙞𝙘𝙚𝙧𝙨 𝙖𝙣𝙙 𝙊𝙖𝙩𝙝-𝙏𝙖𝙠𝙞𝙣𝙜 𝘾𝙚𝙧𝙚𝙢𝙤𝙣𝙮, marking the beginning of a new year rooted in service, leadership, and unity. The event symbolized a renewed commitment to the organization’s mission and the values that continue to guide its service to the community.

🦷✨ 𝐏𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐢𝐧 𝐚𝐭 𝐏𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐰𝐚𝐧𝐚𝐠𝐢𝐧: 𝐀 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐨𝐟 𝐅𝐫𝐞𝐞 𝐄𝐲𝐞 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐃𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞 🦷✨

Guided by the spirit of service and inter-college collaboration, the College of Dentistry and the College of Optometry proudly came together for “Pangitiin at Paliwanagin: A Day of Free Eye and Dental Care,” a joint community outreach initiative that was dedicated to providing comprehensive and holistic eye and dental services to selected beneficiaries from our partner communities.

This meaningful activity took place on December 13, 2025 (Saturday) in partnership with the Sisters of the Handmaids of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul, whose continued dedication to service made this mission of care possible. The morning session focused on eye care services, while the afternoon session highlighted comprehensive dental care, underscoring the vital role of dentistry in promoting overall health and well-being.

The dental mission was led by 𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐆 President Anju Dela Cruz, together with 𝐊𝐀𝐓𝐔𝐖𝐀𝐍𝐆 Vice Presidents Natalie Corres and Roa Camacho, and was made possible through the dedicated service of KATUWANG volunteers, under the close supervision of Dr. Alicia Camacho and Dr. Edbert Solano. Their guidance ensured that every dental service rendered reflected excellence, safety, and genuine compassion.

Through this collaborative outreach, the College of Dentistry reaffirmed MCU’s mission of forming competent, ethical, and service-oriented dental professionals, while strengthening partnerships with communities rooted in charity and care. Together, we brought not only treatment, but hope—one healthy smile at a time.

On December 6, 2025, 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗶𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗨𝗻𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘆 continued its 121st founding anniversary by opening our doors to the communities of Caloocan and Malabon.

The program, led by 𝗔𝗻𝗷𝘂 𝗗𝗲𝗹𝗮 𝗖𝗿𝘂𝘇, Katuwang President, and supervised by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗔𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮 𝗧. 𝗖𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗰𝗵𝗼, was held at the 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐧𝐧𝐢𝐚𝐥 𝐆𝐲𝐦𝐧𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐮𝐦. Our COD Katuwang volunteers shared oral health education, proper denture care, and reminders on nurturing healthy smiles. For the kids and teens, they also demonstrated proper tooth brushing and simple ways to protect their mouths from cavities, showing how small habits can build lifelong health.

Denture services under our yearly tradition, 𝗣𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝘀𝗼 𝘀𝗮 𝗣𝗮𝘀𝗸𝗼, were conducted at the 𝐏𝐆𝐓 𝐁𝐮𝐢𝐥𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 and supervised by 𝗗𝗿. 𝗟𝗲𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗧𝗶𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗼, offering a meaningful way to share comfort and confidence this holiday season.

Service becomes more meaningful when it creates connection. Every restored smile reflects the love, care, and commitment our community continues to stand for.

Together, the team provided tooth extractions and oral prophylaxis to 27 patients, helping them achieve healthier smiles and renewed confidence.
