Ang kalusugan ng ngipin ay may direktang epekto sa nutrisyon, pagsasalita, kumpiyansa sa sarili, at pangkalahatang kalusugan. Sa pamamagitan ng programang ito, mas marami tayong mamamayan ang maiiwasan ang komplikasyon sa ngipin na maaaring magdulot ng mas malubhang problema sa kalusugan.
