Day 4 of ISMC Nurses Week!

We extend our sincere gratitude to Ilocos Training and Regional Medical Center Infection Prevention and Control Unit, headed by Dr. Jimmy Mynardo Mendigo, FPCP, and Ms. Bernadette Flor Rimando, IPC Supervising Nurse, for conducting essential training for ISMC staff on Standard Isolation Precautions and Respirator Fit Testing.

This training is absolutely vital for our healthcare heroes! Respirator Fit Testing is crucial because a properly fitted respirator is essential for protecting staff from airborne pathogens, particularly in high-risk situations. A good fit means maximum protection, giving our frontline workers the confidence and security they need to deliver care safely.

This program is initiated by the Infection Prevention and Control Unit of Ilocos Sur Medical Center headed by Dr. Elizabeth Angela Pipo, and Ms. Princess Naungayan, IPC Nurse.
