The 1st Municipality of Carles Rabies Control Committee Meeting was successfully conducted on February 13, 2026 at the Carles SB Session Hall, strengthening our unified commitment toward a Rabies-Free Carles.

The meeting was headed by Dr. Starah Crisel H. Lusaya, DTTB Assigned, together with Mary Hazel B. Prudente, Rabies Program Coordinator, in collaboration with the Office of the Municipal Agriculture headed by Mr. Robbic Tumaob (MAO Head) and Mr. Vicente Achiles Taypen, DILG MLGOO.

As we continue our fight against rabies, the next target for Rabies-Free Community Declaration are the barangays of Calagnaan. This milestone would not be possible without the strong support and cooperation of our dedicated Barangay Officials and the other partner stakeholders.

The DOH CHD Western Visayas Pharmacist and Cold Chain Technician recently conducted an eLMIS Monitoring at the Carles Primary Care Facility (PCF) Pharmacy. This activity provided valuable technical assistance to our Carles PCF Hired Licensed Pharmacist and the DOH Deployed Pharmacist, further strengthening our pharmacy operations and inventory management system.

The monitoring aims to continuously improve pharmacy management, ensure accurate reporting, and enhance the availability of essential medicines for our community.

On the same day, the DOH team also conducted Cold Chain Logistics preventive maintenance and repair, including servicing of the Solar and Domestic TCW Refrigerators, to maintain the standard cold chain management for National Immunization Program (NIP) vaccines and Anti-Rabies vaccines.

These efforts ensure that vaccines remain safe, potent, and effective for the people of Carles.

We extend our sincere gratitude to DOH CHD Western Visayas for the prompt response to our request and for their unwavering support in strengthening health services in Carles.
