GRACE UNDER PRESSURE - A REAL STORY
***NOTE***
Very long post, ideal for those who wants to understand what its like to be a doctor. But it's worth reading.
Nobody truly understands how EXHAUSTING it can be to be a medical doctor.
EVERYBODY TALKS ABOUT BEING TIRED
Everyone is familiar with the terms 24 hours and 24/7, but few have EXPERIENCED the relentless, grueling reality that comes with this profession.
EDGE OF EXHAUSTION IS THE THE WORD FOR DOCTORS
ONLY real medical doctors know WHAT it feels like to be operating on the edge of EXHAUSTION, pushing through the 48th hour and beyond, yet still maintaining that genuine SMILE, the COMPASSIONATE grace with each patient, and an ALERT MIND despite sleep deprivation. Because every life depends on your clinical judgment at that very moment.
GANDA AT POGI PA DIN NG MGA DOCTORS NAKA CP, DRIVE AT SOCIAL MEDIA PA DIN
Doctors often appear CALM and COMPOSED—cool, collected, and relaxed. But BENEATH that veneer is a person who has learned to ADAPT, to ENDURE, to FUNCTION under relentless pressure.
TRY IMAGINING THIS YOURSELF
Imagine being unable to sustain a 12-hour shift without fatigue, then multiply that by decades—doing 24-hour shifts, week after week, month after month, year after year. Imagine further that in those moments, you must make CRITICAL decisions during emergencies, amidst CHAOS and exhaustion, knowing lives hang in the balance.
SELDOM UNDERSTAND WHAT SORT OF SACRIFICE EACH DOCTOR HAS TO ENDURE
It's a SACRIFICE few understand, a testament to RESILIENCE and unwavering DEDICATION. The weight of this responsibility is something only those who have lived it can truly comprehend.
