The Adela Serra Ty Memorial Medical Center (ASTMMC) launched an initiative called “Panaghinabi: Healthcare Innovation through Alliance, Bridging, and Inclusivity (HINABI).” The aim of this initiative is to foster dialogues among community-based stakeholders and conduct partnership visits with local government units (LGUs) and associated organizations.

Carrascal Primary Health Care Facility, identified as one of ASTMMC’s key focus sites, is privileged to participate in this initiative. Through our conversations and exchanges, we reaffirmed our collective commitment to advancing healthcare innovation by forming alliances, addressing gaps in services, and ensuring inclusivity for every patient.

✨️ Quality care begins with continuous improvement. ✨️

Carrascal Primary Health Care Facility was recently visited by the DOH – Integrated Hospital Operations and Management Program (IHOMP) team last October 29, 2025 for an integrated validation on the revised IHOMP Self-Assessment Tool (SAT) as well as the Infection Prevention and Control Assessment Tool and other HFDU Programs.

Through the team’s assessment and validation, we were able to identify key areas for growth while also recognizing the facility’s outstanding best practices. A big thank you to our dedicated healthcare team for their unwavering commitment to delivering safe, quality, and patient-centered care every day.

Congratulations are in order as we are proud to announce Carrascal Primary Health Care Facility’s successful completion of the Mother-Baby Friendly Hospital Initiative (MBFHI) Assessment and the resulting 3-year Accreditation Certificate.

Without the hard work and dedication of our committed hospital staff, Breastfeeding Coordinator, Section Heads, and our Chief of Hospital, Dr. Sherwin V. Josol, MD, CHA, DipHLM, we would not have been able to achieve this milestone. This certificate is a testament to our facility's ongoing dedication to promoting, supporting, and safeguarding mothers and infants during their breastfeeding journey.

We also want to thank the evaluators for their guidance and feedbacks.
