Stop Retinopathy of Prematurity!

Who needs to be seen by an ophthalmologist for ROP screening?

• All newborns with gestational age of 32 weeks or less
• All newborns with birth-weight of 1,500 grams or less
• Newborns with gestational age of 32-36 weeks with:
• S - Sepsis (severe)
• T - Transfusion of packed BC within the first 10 days of life due to anemia
• O- Oxygen use especially without oxygen blender
• P - Prematurity with an unstable clinical course
