Samar Provincial Hospital joined the celebration of 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝘂𝗻𝘁𝗶𝘀 𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟲, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, anchored on the theme, “𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗱𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗥𝗼𝗼𝘁𝘀 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗜𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗻 𝗡𝘂𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀.”

The activity brought together expectant mothers for a meaningful day of maternal health services and health education, including prenatal check-up, nutrition counseling, breastfeeding education, safe motherhood lecture, and maternal kits distribution. Through this initiative, SPH continued to strengthen its support for safe pregnancy, informed motherhood, and improved maternal well-being in the community.

SPH likewise expresses its admiration for the compassion and dedication demonstrated by our Reproductive Endocrinology and Infertility Specialist, 𝗝𝗼𝗵𝗻 𝗣𝗮𝘂𝗹 𝗬. 𝗥𝗲𝘆𝗲𝘀, 𝗠𝗗, 𝗥𝗘𝗜, and seasoned Obstetrician-Gynecologist 𝗥𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻 𝗚. 𝗗𝗮𝗴𝗮𝗻𝘇𝗼, 𝗠𝗗, 𝗙𝗣𝗢𝗚𝗦, together with the entire OPD OB-Gyn Clinic Team, whose efforts made the activity both meaningful and successfully carried out.

In observance of Rabies Awareness Month, Samar Provincial Hospital conducted an 𝗢𝗿𝗶𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗣𝗿𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

The activity served as an orientation for both new personnel and a refresher for hospital staff on proper wound care, vaccination, reporting, and response to animal bite cases, while promoting greater awareness on rabies prevention and public safety.

Samar Provincial Hospital held a hospital-wide 𝗟𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 on 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝟭𝟲–𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲 at 𝗧𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮𝘆𝗮 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗹 for the clinical and non-clinical personnel.

Provincial leaders, healthcare champions, and committed partners, came together to witness the milestone. One that brings care closer, reduces the burden of travel, no cost treatment, and allows patients to stay near their families while receiving life-sustaining care.

In line with 𝗛𝗼𝗻. 𝗚𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗼𝗿 𝗦𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲 𝗔𝗻𝗻 𝗧𝗮𝗻’𝘀 ongoing commitment to patient safety and high-quality healthcare delivery, 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 successfully conducted a 𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗶𝗱𝗲 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗲 𝗦𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺 𝗠𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗗𝗿𝗶𝗹𝗹 on 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟮𝟱, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲.

The exercise was conducted under the direction of Dr. Jansenn V. Mutya, MPH, MHA Chief of Hospital, together with the support of Hospital Administrator , Chief Nurse, Chief of Clinics and led by Physicians Dr. Ayaso, Dr. Amago, Dr. Odita, and Dr. Amandy, ensuring coordinated and effective implementation headed by our Respiratory Therapist Ma. Eloisa Benette Muñoz, RTRP.

After months of preparation and staff orientation, the drill simulated a cardiac arrest scenario to assess response time, communication efficiency, equipment readiness, and interdepartmental coordination. Teams executed rapid activation protocols, airway management, and immediate resuscitation, while observers monitored compliance with established standards and identified opportunities for improvement.

More than operational readiness, this activity reflects our deep commitment to ensuring that every patient receives timely, coordinated, and life-saving care when it matters most. By continuously improving our response system, we aim to reduce delays, enhance clinical decision-making, and protect the lives entrusted to us.

The hospital expresses its sincere appreciation to the nursing service department, training office, ward and ER supervisors, code nurses, IT, PHU, and communications personnel, as well as all participating units, for their steadfast collaboration and dedication.

Following the evaluation conducted last year, SPH underwent another round of the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (𝗗𝗢𝗛) 𝗟𝗶𝗰𝗲𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, which covered:

This follow-up assessment reinforces the hospital’s 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑠𝑖𝑠𝑡𝑒𝑛𝑐𝑦 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑚𝑖𝑡𝑚𝑒𝑛𝑡 to the delivery of 𝑞𝑢𝑎𝑙𝑖𝑡𝑦 ℎ𝑒𝑎𝑙𝑡ℎ𝑐𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑠𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑖𝑐𝑒𝑠 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑛𝑡𝑖𝑛𝑢𝑒𝑑 𝑐𝑜𝑚𝑝𝑙𝑖𝑎𝑛𝑐𝑒 with regulatory standards for the people 𝑊𝑒 𝐶𝑎𝑟𝑒 and 𝑊𝑒 𝑆𝑒𝑟𝑣𝑒.

𝗟𝗢𝗢𝗞 | On 𝗙𝗲𝗯𝗿𝘂𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝟯, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, the 𝗗𝗲𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 (𝗗𝗢𝗛) 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗔𝗕𝗧𝗖) 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 visited 𝗦𝗮𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗛𝗼𝘀𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 for the Inspection, Validation, and Re-accreditation of the 𝗔𝗻𝗶𝗺𝗮𝗹 𝗕𝗶𝘁𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗿 (𝗔𝗕𝗧𝗖).

We are pleased to share that the ABTC of Samar Provincial Hospital successfully underwent the DOH assessment, which recognized the center’s:

📋 Complete and properly maintained forms and records.
🧼 Clean, organized, and fully equipped treatment area.

This assessment ensures the continued delivery of safe, quality, and accessible animal bite management services for the people we care for and serve.
